We are a small private practice rheumatology practice in Boise, Idaho, dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions.
Our MD is committed to a collaborative, patient-centered approach, and we’re seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join us.
This role is open to candidates with a Primary Care background, who are eager to specialize in rheumatology. However, in this case we would recommend a part time approach (1-2 days a week) for the first 6 months.
Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and driven NP or PA to provide high-quality care to our rheumatology patients. We offer comprehensive training to support your transition into this specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations for rheumatologic conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with our rheumatology team.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and therapies under the supervision of our physicians.
- Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient encounters accurately in our EHR system.
- Participate in ongoing training to build expertise in rheumatology (1-2 days per week).
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Idaho.
- Experience in rheumatology preferred.
Experience in primary care or another specialty is required; no prior rheumatology experience required if open to part-time.
- Willingness to learn and train in rheumatology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
