Job Description
Valley Arthritis Care is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a background in Rheumatology or a closely related specialty such as Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Pain Management. Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatologic and musculoskeletal conditions
- Conduct follow-up visits, disease monitoring, and medication management
- Perform joint injections and aspirations (training available if needed)
- Review and interpret labs, imaging, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with rheumatologists and clinical team
- Educate patients on disease processes and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner license
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or similar)
- Minimum 1 year experience in Rheumatology or a closely related specialty (Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pain Management, or similar)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior rheumatology or orthopedic experience
- Joint injection or aspiration experience
- EMR proficiency
- Interest in long-term specialty practice
