What You Will Do:
Dell Children's Medical Group is looking for an APRN or PA to partner with attending providers to provide on-site monitoring of infusion services to pediatric GI and Rheumatology patients in the outpatient Pavilion Infusion Center. The Pavilion Infusion Center will be located within the Children's Blood and Cancer Center. This position could eventually grow to monitor hematology-oncology infusions, as well. Our ideal candidate will have experience and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Position Highlights:
- Pediatric and/or infusion experience preferred.
- GI, Rheumatology and/or hematology/oncology experience desired
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct treatment and management of needs that arise surrounding infusions.
- Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination, as needed surrounding infusions. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
- Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
