We provide comprehensive rheumatology care including clinical visits, in-house infusion services, radiology, and laboratory support. Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding rheumatology practice. The provider will evaluate and manage patients with autoimmune, musculoskeletal, and connective tissue diseases in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, orthopedics, or a related specialty, with a strong clinical foundation and interest in managing complex chronic conditions.
This opportunity is available as part-time or full-time, with flexibility to design a schedule that balances patient care needs and provider lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of rheumatologic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, and related disorders.
- Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests relevant to rheumatologic care.
- Collaborate closely with supervising physician, infusion nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Participate in infusion therapy coordination and monitoring, including biologic and specialty medication management.
- Document patient encounters accurately and in compliance with CMS and payer requirements.
- Support practice initiatives related to quality improvement, MIPS reporting, and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in patient education, community outreach, or clinical program development.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Active or eligible for unrestricted Florida license.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred in rheumatology, internal medicine, orthopedics, or a related field.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage chronic disease states.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Interest or experience in outpatient specialty practice and infusion therapy strongly preferred.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Part-Time: 2–3 clinic days per week (flexible scheduling available)
- Full-Time: 4–5 clinic days per week
- Outpatient-only setting (no hospital rounding)
- Supported by a dedicated team including physician, NPs/PAs, infusion nurses, medical assistants, and billing staff
