Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and vital signs assessments.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with rheumatologic conditions, utilizing current evidence-based practices.
- Manage medication administration, including immunosuppressants and biologics, ensuring patient safety and adherence.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients on disease processes, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Assist in clinical research initiatives related to rheumatology to support ongoing advancements in treatment options.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with certification in relevant specialties.
- Experience working with rheumatologic conditions is highly preferred; familiarity with autoimmune diseases such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis is a plus.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems; telehealth experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of advanced procedures including joint injections, dermal fillers, and IV infusions.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10), and medication management protocols.
- Critical care experience or hospital medicine background is desirable; experience in outpatient clinics or specialty practices is beneficial.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively in urgent situations.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
