About the position
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Rheumatology provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders in an outpatient setting. This role functions in close collaboration with rheumatologists while also managing a panel of patients daily and independently. The APP plays a key role in improving access, optimizing chronic disease management, and delivering comprehensive care across the patient journey. This role is currently practicing in the outpatient setting only.
Responsibilities
- Provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders in an outpatient setting.
- Manages a panel of patients daily and independently.
- Improves access, optimizes chronic disease management, and delivers comprehensive care across the patient journey.
Requirements
- Minimum of two to three years of NP/PA experience required.
- No new graduates will be considered.
- Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
- Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date.
- DEA registration required.
