Rheumatic Disease Center has been serving Milwaukee and the surrounding areas for more than 50 years. As our practice continues to grow, so does our need for skilled, patient-centered providers.

The Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant functions as a partner to a Physician Partner and their individual practice. They are required to provide patient-focused care to a wide variety of clients in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. The mid-level provider is expected to work in cooperation and conjunction with the physician to ensure patient care and positive outcomes are aligned with organizational goals and outcomes.

Education and Experience: A Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies is required. A current APRN license or PA certification is required. The provider is expected to keep their license current. CME course support is available.

The mid-level provider is a representative of the organization and the physician partner with whom they work directly.

Additional Qualifications:

· Strong clinical patient care background required, 3-5 years preferred.

· Rheumatology experience helpful but not required.

· Strong documentation skills and knowledge of billing/coding requirements.

· Strong computer skills and knowledge with the ability to easily navigate basic Electronic Medical Record software.

· Willingness to go above and beyond for patients to ensure a personalized experience and create lifelong patients.

· Desire to work closely with a specific physician partner to learn their practice style and expectations, as well as follow through on delivery of patient care consistent with what each physician partner provides to their patients.
